Don’t lie we all know you used to sneak into your sisters room to brush the powder pink hair of her My Little Pony while making some chronic cup cakes in her Easy Bake Oven.  It’s OK, but if that desire to see that piece of plastic trot, with its pretty bows, all over your sisters Barbie Play House themed room still burns inside of you, you should check out the fresh takes on My Little Pony at the Pony Project.  To read more information about the Pony Project click here, and to see some images of the Pony Project click here.

ICELAND - A Real Chill Place

Frank151 is currently in Reykeyjarvik, Iceland checking out the Iceland Airwaves music festival.  What an incredible city with a thriving music and art scene.  Last night saw excellent performances from local act Twisted Minds Crew featuring the talents of highly regarded Reykeyjarvik producer Beat Makin Troopa, as well as a very well received performance by U.S. group The Perceptionists.  I am sure there were many other great acts who we didn’t catch as every night there is more performances than we can take in.  Seems like everyone is a musician or creating in some way out here, which makes for a nice positive scene (except for a gram of weed is $50).  One nice find so far is the fresh beats of local producer DJ Intro.  Something for you to relax to, check it out here.

Tommy Guns Vodka

Frank wants to give a special thanks to Alphonse Capone Enterprises and their Tommy Guns Vodka.  This vodka isn’t for your typical college sorority girl who puts her family to shame after two sips of her Smirnoff Raspberry Twist and Crystal Light.  This is the Roaring Twenties a decade that brought bathtub gin, rumrunners, Flappers, and who could forget the fresh sound of Dixieland.  After drinking from the barrel of the Tommy Gun not only did I break out into the Charleston, but I realized that this vodka has a straight taste.  This product is worth the time out of your internet porn canoodling to take a gander at.  Check it here.

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005
Who knew fertilization could be such a battle? Missing their mark andlanding on the stomach, a group of sperm cells must make their way insidethe woman and find the egg- an elusive and well dressed prize. Along theway, the sperm cells encounter numerous enemies including, Kleenex, soapand the body’s defenses. Some cells die along the way and in the end onlyone can be victorious in the mission. This is the story of DaisukeKoshikawa’s play, We Are the Sperm Cells, performed by the D.K. Hollywoodcomedy troupe. The show is back in New York for a limited time, encorepresentation. It is in Japanese with an English narration so some of thejokes are lost on non-Japanese speakers, but with this plot the jokes arenot difficult to infer. It’s not all comedy though, because the battle isreally a symbol for peace, "We, human beings, have gone through theseverest fight before being born to this world. Do we really need to fighteach other any more?"

Bomb

Its been 20 years since a movie of this genre has been released, but now, available October 11th, you can cop the DVD "Bomb the System."  This movie, originally released in 2002, is a graffed out tale about a 19-year-old writer, and his crew, who put all of their ambitions into bombing the streets.  The fun dries up quick when the NYPD gets involved.  With the musical credits going to Def-Jux’s El-P, this is a must have DVD, even for the people who have never seen a spray can.  Check the sight here.
