Positive Energy
If you live in New York and appreciate urban-influenced art, Jamila Pinckney is a name you should remember. Pinckney, besides proclaiming herself Frank’s #1 fan, is a DC native and New York based artist with a very impressive resume. Having exhibited at the Met and the National Gallery of Art, Pinckney describes her art as being influenced by graffiti, spirituality and the African American experience. Intrigued? Then you’re in luck. She will be showcasing her art at the 125th street branch of the New York Public Library, an exhibition that continues throughout the month of February.
