For the past few months now, dozens of artists have been secretly installing the biggest street art exhibit of all time inside of 11 Spring Street. The outside of the epic five-story brick building has long been a destination for graffiti artists looking for a place to curate their work, but the inside has always been a mystery. The building looked abandoned, but candles burning in the windows every night proved otherwise.

Whoever was living in 11 Spring, they decided to put the building on the market a few years ago. Being in complete disrepair and warehouse-sized, it took a long time to sell, but 11 Spring was finally bought this year by a husband and wife. Luckily for the rest of New York City, the couple just happened to be art-lovers who appreciated the building’s graffiti. They got in touch with Wooster Collective, and together they came up with the project: A street art exhibit that covered the entire inside of 11 Spring. The opening party is today, Friday the 15th, and the show runs through Sunday the 17th. After that, the building will be cleaned thoroughly, and all the art will be destroyed.

Artists MINT & SERF came together on Thursday, November 16th for "Creative Camaraderie." The event, sponsored by Boost Mobile, features over two dozen works including the vinyl hybrid MIRF sculpture. The show was dope, as was the turnout, despite poor weather conditions. Spectators were so eager to see the show they had no qualms about wearing those little blue booties so as not to muck up the fresh turf inside.

Hear ye hear ye! The kind folk at 10 Deep are throwing a good ol’ romp tommorrow, December 13th at R Bar. Music by A-Trak and Waajeed of Platinum  Pied Pipers. There will be free beer, and gift bags brimming with gear and other goodies. Don’t miss it.

King Gyanendra of Nepal finally had his God status stripped las week, which means he actaully has to pay taxes now. It looks like he put a lot of that leftover money into headware. Hopefully his hat game won’t suffer after being de-deified.
