The Name IssueThursday, June 28th, 2007Decisions regarding the name parents choose for their children are normally left to the family. Sometimes problems can surround the choice of last name for the child, but other than that, parents can be creative. Recently in Sweden and New Zealand, the amount of freedom parents should be allowed when it comes to their kid’s names has been called into question. Whether or not the court should interfere with the naming process, these cases might really fall into the category of endangering the welfare of a child. |
