High Society Heir Busted As Drug Ring Mastermind

A Harvard-educated Manhattan jet-setter has been pegged as the money-laundering mastermind behind a massive LSD drug ring run out of a Kansas missile silo, The Post has learned.

Stefan Wathne, a 39-year-old scion of New York’s socially prominent Wathne apparel family, surrendered to federal agents Jan. 7 as he stepped off a plane at Newark Airport - after three years on the lam.

While the unsuspecting guy at the counter may not necessarily have “deserved” it, dude landed him one hell of a haymaker.   CBS news has been running this footage all night long, across national markets — New York City represent.

Rail fan and model train enthusiast Mellow Mike creates hyper realistic miniaturized versions of America’s rolling stock. Accurate down to the graffiti art, Mike makes his models using photo references and then “poses� his finished creations over background shots giving his work that surreal look.

“You’ll quickly notice that the majority of my contemporary freight cars have graffiti on them. I am not a tagger in real life, nor do I condone such activity. But because I strive to make my models look authentic, it means reproducing what I see outdoors.â€?

“I digitally photograph the real thing up close. Then, on my computer, I edit and clean the hi-res image. Finally, I reduce the image and print it out as a decal. In most cases, I will touch up the decal with some hand painting once it’s on the model.

Tonight was 2008’s only total lunar eclipse…

After the Earth moved in between the Sun and the Moon, there was still a thin circle of sunlight passing through our atmosphere – which apparently scattered the blue light spectrum so that we cast a red shadow across the Moon’s face.  People used to call it the blood moon.

This was the same kind of eclipse Columbus supposedly used to fool the first Americans he met into thinking he had the favor of the gods — which really set a benchmark for European honesty towards indigenous people in years to come. 

Regardless, tonight’s eclipse was real cool.  Hope y’all caught it.
