No Third Term: Seymour Chwast For Freshjive

Seymour Chwast, one of the most important graphic designers of the 20th century and co-founder of Push Pin Studios with Milton Glaser and Edward Sorel, has designed an anti McCain/Bush t shirt for Freshjive. The shirt is in stores now and most proceeds will be directly contributed to the Barack Obama campaign.

There are many ways the McCain Administration would represent Bush’s third term. Here is a list of some of them:

1) According to Congressional Quarterly’s assessment of the voting record, McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time in 2007.

2) McCain was a supporter of the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq “… the Iraqi people will greet us as liberators.”

3) McCain joined Bush to block a proposal to ban waterboarding torture in the U.S.

4) In 2007, McCain joined Bush in opposing health care for uninsured children.

5) As Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Bush and McCain celebrated McCain’s birthday by cutting birthday cake and taking photos with the press.

6) In 2003, McCain joined Bush to promote privatizing Social Security.

7) McCain has embraced the endorsements of Bush and the leaders of the Christian Right.

8) McCain plans to make the Bush tax cuts permanent.

9) McCain and Bush are both proponents of market deregulation, which has now led to the current financial crisis.

10) Speaking of Bush in 2006: “We have a very good personal relationship, but it’s primarily based on the agenda.”

11) They are both liars.
