Cease & Desist - Ari Can't Talk About It
New York filmmaker John Carluccio has been making films for years. He first bust out with an amazing documentary about Scratch DJs, called Battle Sounds. The first screenings of that film (in the mid-nineties) sent shock waves around the DJ culture, largely due to the fact that there had never been a full documentary about Battle DJs. John went on to play a role (advising and consulting) on the documentary Scratch, the foremost documentary on hip-hop DJs. John also created Hop-Fu, along with DJs Excess and IXL (The Kolabz Crew), where the DJs scored old Kung-Fu films with a turntablism soundtrack. All the while, John has been coming with his own short films which have shown on Current TV on a regular basis. Check out his latest offering, a film that "does not exsist", and his site Cinqua.com.
