Blender Magazine RIP

The magazine that successfully got many of our favorite pop stars into their skivvies time and again will cease to exist after the next issue. Blender was a rare mainstream rag that actually noticed the underground, having done features on M.I.A. (clad in clothing by New York design/music collective Nossa), as well as doing features on Baile Funk music (which still has no presence in the mainstream). Blender was a given for djs and audiophiles alike, as it featured a listing of the "hot" songs to download/have in your crates, in addition to 100s of reviews each moth, and a section of reviews entirely dedicated to a particular artist's catalog. Blender was a mainstream mag that got deep...kinda.
