Tor Hamer

Exciting, undefeated Tor Hamer is a New York City heavyweight who, after a decorated amateur career, has a perfect professional record. If any boxer has the potential to become a household name, it's Tor. The charismatic and talkative 26 year old boasts a Penn State degree, Ivy League educated parents, intelligence, charm, and a marketable face. Already, the media has taken to him. The Village Voice, for example, dubbed him ”The Gentleman Boxer" in an impressive fourpage spread. Tor earned the respect of the boxing community by compiling an outstanding 34-1 amateur record, and avenged his only loss by knockout. He was rated the #1 amateur heavyweight in the country in 2008 by USA Boxing. He is a National Golden Gloves Champion, NY State Golden Glove Champion, two-time NYC Golden Gloves Champion, two-time Long Island Amateur Boxing Champion, NY Metro Champion, NY State Champion, and Regional 1 Champion. Tor has blazed onto the professional scene in his first 5 fights, winning them all convincingly, thoroughly confusing and brutally beating his unfortunate opponents. Tor is now 5-0 and fighting his 6th bout at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Tor's next bout will be on May 30th, 2009 on the Andre Berto-Juan Urango HBO undercard in Hollywood, Florida.
