The city will pay $25,000 to settle a racial-profiling lawsuit brought by a Brooklyn man who was stopped and searched in the subway more than 20 times. Jangir Sultan, 32, believed he was picked on by the NYPD because he’s of Kashmiri descent. The NYPD has said the bag checks are routine, and all riders are told they are subject to police search.
