Skam2? Miami's Hidden Gem

SKAM2?, a Miami Carol City native is a double-threat of musical and visual artistry. SKAM2? is a seasoned vet, having recorded with such influential lyricists and producers as, Eminem, Raekwon The Chef (Wu-Tang Clan), Ill Bill (La Coka Nostra), D.J. Spinna and Talib Kweli, for starters. His self-motivated hustle got him into just the right positions to play integral roles in the artwork for such albums as Eminem's "Slim Shady LP", D-12's, "Devil's Night" and A Tribe Called Quest's "Beat's Rhymes and Life", (to name a few). If you asked him how he got those connects he would most likely tell you; "I would sneak into shows, go to in-stores, catch people on the street, whatever I had to do to show you my art. I kept my book on me. You never know who you might run into!"

Unknown to most, SKAM2? played a key hand in Eminem's underground buzz, and also helped him land his "Unsigned Hype" article in The Source magazine. A few years later, his status reached an anomalous level of underground infamy after receiving what could debatably be the biggest shout out in hip-hop history from Eminem on the song "Stan" off of the 18x platinum "Marshall Mathers LP". According to SKAM2? "Hype's just hype without the material to justify it". That being said, his catalog carries a wide range that travels from underground rap to Durty South, all the way to something along the lines of a heavy-handed Rock-fusion with all the nooks and crannies inbetween. In other words, good luck finding a beat he can't accommodate with ferocious and far from predictable wordplay. Which is pretty ironic for someone who grew up off of groups like Iron Maiden, Guns & Roses, Operation Ivy and wasn't into rap that much as a kid. I guess it's those odd mixes that tend to produce those freakish oddities we almost always find entertaining. SKAM2? is truly is an artist in every sense of the word, with the unique ability to sonically paint the most vivid or darkest of scenes and then turn around and show it to you.
