Recently, YUHMM did a feature on our homegirl Ellen Stagg, curator of Frank Book 36.  

It’s difficult to have a conversation about female photographers who have helped pushed erotica into a mainstream discourse without mentioning the name Ellen Stagg. The NY based commercial and erotic photographer injects a poignant point-of-view to the images she captures where simplicity meets style and sensuality is drawn from within. Stepping in front of Ellen’s lens is an experience and a privilege not to be taken for granted. Recognition of her work not only comes from the erotic community, but within the art and indie pop culture circles as well. From her 2010 calendar with Mishka to her series on IFC entitled The Stagg Party, Ellen continues to demonstrate her insatiable desire to succeed and her willingness to be challenged as an artist.
