MTA Rat Snapshots
The New York Times City Room blog is accepting your treasured snapshots of subway rats. It's not so much the rat photo collection that's disturbing, but the following comment from yehadut in this post that does the trick:
"Would people feel differently if they were poisoning puppies or horses? Just because rats aren’t as cute doesn’t mean they don’t have feelings. This is just immoral."

07.02.10 6:56PMRats by Robert Sullivan is a crazy book that looks at our perspective of rats, and how it has evolved over time, how rats have been used to demonize certain ethnic/religious/cultural groups. Yehadut takes a deep plunge into our knowledge and states some serious truth about "morality". haven't read the book yet but sounds like a fresh breath
