Photograffeur Wins 100K

There isn't a word to describe Paris-based artist JR, thats why he chose to make one up, "Photograffeur." The photographer/graffiti artist, has recently won $100,000 from nonprofit organization TED for his artwork.

Every artist has a purpose and reason behind their work, for JR its to excite change by promoting community. Using photos of people in the neighborhood where he posts his work, JR turns ordinary people into celebrities, all to help promote a message.
