Raul Osorio: Studio Visit

Raul Osorio is quickly becoming a MN house hold name when it comes to fashion. The Honduran fashion designer will be showing a collection of his meticulous menswear creations at the SCENEaSOTA Runway Show (brainchild of fashion designer Maritza Ramirez) this Saturday Nov. 6, at the Loft 2.
Osorio is a fashion designer who understands risk, and effortlessly employs men to take as many as they can when it comes to clothing. From sleeveless cowl neck tops in soft fabrics, to tailored vests and cropped bolero jackets, the designer ushers in a new way of dressing. High waisted shorts on a man may seem controversial upon first look; however Osorio convinces the fashion industry by utilizing a 1930's vintage appeal, playing up waistband buttons and front pleats. His designs are to be enjoyed by both men and women alike.

With an immense background in fine tailoring, Raul Osorio designs pieces that remain bold and well constructed. The images presented in the SCENEaSOTA 2010 Lookbook prove that the designer will give his attendees plenty of little surprises throughout the show. As with our previous Studio Visits, the fashion designer was kind enough to give FRANK readers a behind-the-scenes look into the House of Osorio … closet included.
