80 Blocks Intro: For Petes Sake Freestyle (Free Download & Stream)

I’ve always felt Camp Lo hasn’t gotten the acclaim they deserve. Everyone recognizes "Luchini" as a classic, but the whole Uptown Saturday Night album is an underrated gem, and their following albums were all very solid,  despite being practically ignored by the rap crowd at large.

As such, it’s a great honor to be helping try to push them back towards the spotlight by mixing and presenting the 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s mixtape, alongside with DJ Mark Divita, in anticipation of their upcoming collaboration album with Pete Rock of the same name.

The mix is a combination of unreleased tracks, a capella blends, and a few freestyles over Pete Rock beats, recorded in L.A. with the homie Grilla just for this tape. We dropped one of the exclusive joints two weeks ago, "Jimmy Page," and now present to you, another as the last leak before the full mix drops next Tuesday. The “80 Blocks Intro” is filled with rapid-fire slang over the ill keys and bass of one of my favorite beats off Mecca and the Soul Brother, “For Pete’s Sake.” It doesn’t have to make sense to be dope, especially with flows like Cheeba’s and Suede’s.
