The Best And Worst Of The United States (Literally)

We blogged the 50 State Stereotypes the other day, but now you can see if any of it was true. With infographics gaining popularity (fancy name for picture-based statistics), you occasionally get "cartograms"--where you replace the names on maps of states, cities or countries with a statistic or category. Big Think presents two cartograms which display interesting information about the 50 States. One shows what positive attribute each state is strongest in (best heart health, cleanest air... best license plate? Sorry Oklahoma), and the other shows which problem that state has the worst (i.e. dumbest, most antisocial, least green. Oh dear.) Check yours.
