Man Robs Bank For Jail Health Care (Video)

While the US struggles to create a viable health care plan, citizens with out privatized medical insurance or large bank accounts are forced to find their own solutions to receive medical care.

On June 9th, a self-described ‘sort of logical’ Carolina man, James Verone, robbed an RBC bank for $1 and relaxed in a chair until the police arrived on scene. When asked why he decided to rob the bank, Verone answered that he was in need of medical care and as a 59-year-old with no job, an exhausted bank account, and no medical insurance jail was the only resort he had to put a roof over his head and receive free medical attention.

When Verone arrived at jail, the doctor was appalled by his manipulation of the system. Appalled? While it may not be the greatest of decisions, with a growth on his chest, a lame foot, and a couple of ruptured disks Verone had little choice but to manipulate the system.

Oh yeah and medical attention isn’t the only thing Verone is hoping for while he is in jail. Verone hopes to be sentenced to three years in jail in order to collect social security and move to the beach. He has already spoken to realtors in Myrtle Beach, FL.

As I see it, the score is: Verone 1 – US Government 0

Can’t wait to see how this one pans out.
