Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (Photo Recap)
In case you missed it, the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival went down this weekend courtesy of Brooklyn Bodega.
Brooklyn's finest were a part of a week-long hip-hop culture celebration. Performances by Sean P, M.O.P., Kendrick Lamar, Diamond District, and more were topped by a guest-packed performance by New Yorker and hip-hop legend Q-Tip of the iconic group A Tribe Called Quest.
Kendrick Lamar performed and was followed by duo M.O.P. Guest Monie Love joined Tip onstage for “Buddy” and “Monie in the Middle.” Next up was Black Thought of The Roots and just when the crowd had enjoyed an already awesome line-up, the next star guest Busta Rhymes knocked out “Scenario,” “Oh My God,” and his own current hit, “Look at Me Now.” After a quick pause, “Can we get much higher?” started to play and at that moment every single fan went nuts as Kanye came on stage leaving fans shocked but hype. He followed with “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and “All of the Lights” before performing “Award Tour” alongside tip. It was a great moment for hip-hop.
