MONA x James Franco (Is this BS?)

MONA is the Kickstarter project entitled MONA, which stands for the Museum of Non-Visible Art. Franco teamed up with the artist duo Praxis and recently the the project recently opened up it's doors:

The Non-Visible Museum is an extravaganza of imagination, a museum that reminds us that we live in two worlds: the physical world of sight and the non-visible world of thought. Composed entirely of ideas, the Non-Visible Museum redefines the concept of what is real. Although the artworks themselves are not visible, the descriptions open our eyes to a parallel world built of images and words. This world is not visible, but it is real, perhaps more real, in many ways, than the world of matter, and it is also for sale.

Part of me thinks this concept is interesting, but then I remember how much I can't stand listening to people critique art because of how hard their bones creak as they try to compose the most abstract yet tangible definitions of art and it's many meanings. Or how I can't stand walking into a museum and pretending that a solid 4"x4" black square on a huge blank canvas is profound. Besides, Franco has done a lot lately to damage his reputation and the fact that many people are calling him a hack may be proof enough that this project should be non-visible in real life. Anyways, don't listen to me... for more info and video go here and make your own judgements.
