THE MAN /// THE LEGEND
I loved his interview for it's realness; it was raw and revealing.
Truly a great incapsulating view of one of the graff world's most talented vandals.
I still remember when I visited Paris, went to the artist colony Montmarte, saw that GKAE throwie right on the side of a house /// DAMN

09.22.11 1:52PMThe Rime interview was well written short and sweet. Rime's honesty comes out in the piece and it speaks to his status as a coach. Many of the other articles speak to the context of Cali, and thought it was dope to hear from a cat who left the 15degrees of the North East.

09.22.11 4:41AMoh my god oh my god. those markers! such beautiful colors, such quality. aaaaah ♥
the interview with norm was my favorite in chapter 41. not only did the picture of him totally inspire me to get my bridge pierced haha, but i also really dug the story of how he got into tattooing, building machines and paying attention to detail, which sequentially led to writing graffiti. in prison, a tattoo gun is made by hooking up a walkman motor to a pen casing with a guitar string for a needle and the ink is made by burning black chess pieces. but norm's machines no doubt must be much better!!!!!! i was just really inspired by his interview.

09.21.11 2:15AMI honestly don't know where to start I have so much to say about this book. First off this is a great chapter I read it every morning on my way to work, it kind of helps me get through the day. With that said although I loved all of the interviews I have two favorite interviews. The interview with SABER is one of them, in the beginning of the interview he speaks about feeling the need to "explore different areas and mediums." I've been dealing with this my whole life, like SABER I was into art before the graff thing and art has always been my escape route. It allowed me to travel to new places and experience new things at the same time pushing my limits of creativity. I'm almost positive that all artist feel this way. The second one is not really a interview but it seems just as relevant is the words and photos of Keegan Gibbs. This is what keeps me going in life, as a current film student/tattoo artist it is more then just motivation and inspiration. Seeing someone else combining the life of art and film/photography keeps me exploring a new found interest without losing my old self. I hear many people say "I used to draw but I stopped because of my career" Keegan page tells me that I can still do both, not only that but I combine the to elements into one.

09.20.11 4:28PMEWOK's interview was hands down the best to read. His unique style transcends time and influences my work and the work of others across the globe. Much love for this interview Frank151

09.19.11 6:00PMThe interview with EKLIPS was dope. Really gave you an understanding of how everyone in MSK helps out one another and backs there play. Never leading but letting everyone shine in their own way. The sky writing today was a great example of that! Young writers and artists should really take notes and put in work like theses artists. HARD WORK, PERSEVERANCE and PASSSION are what drive them. That's a great thing to pass along to the younger generation of artists.

09.18.11 1:55PMAll interviews were great i dont have a favorite writer by the way.. all styles are diffrent and it all comes from you
my mind is always changing so my graff does too.MSK and AWR, the Seventh letter are all a big inspiration to me and lots of other writers.. theres not much serious graff where im from just some writers from big crews like "the Laws" and "CBS"

09.15.11 4:23PMI loved loved loved the Revok interview. Revok is my favourite graff writer, so of course I'm gunna favourite that little bit of chapter 14. Revok's masterpieces have inspired a lot of my own. When he got arrested, I unfortunately did not buy the 7th Letter 'Free Revok' tshirt, due to the troubles of low amount of cash I had at that time..BUT surely enuff, I made my own, using cheapish Elmer's paint markers I acquired from Walmart. I completely adore drawing pieces in my blackbook, I do so while in school and that has put me in some trouble, but nothing I can't use my Lithuanian charm to get out of ;] . But, anyway, I do use cheap paint markers that aren't really quality at all,and to win this set of Ironlak[damn, my jaw dropped when I heard of the contest itself] would be such a wish come true, I'd have to write another fucking paragraph of me ranting about the awesomeness of graff on here, except this time - longer!

09.14.11 8:57PMRevok, his style is just so sick. he just does what he loves and his passion come across in his work. and he is funny as about how he got caught and the results from it all.

09.14.11 7:55PMThe article on Pose was my favorite. He is one of my favorite artists and has one of the illest styles. Although it was a short article it gave a good representation of the work he put in the game and what he is all about.

09.14.11 7:35PMMy favourite was the Eklips one, I liked the story about the evolution of the awr/msk crews into legit businesses like the gallery & the seventh letter. It seemed like a pretty natural process for them from just doing purely graffiti, and it's dope to see guys like this who are legit writers being successful with their art on their own terms - not having to sell out for a quick buck. Much respect to them for the amazing work, and for putting in the hard yards.. peace

09.14.11 7:29PMThe Ewok interview was my favorite. The stories that he tells as a kid in a back alleyway checking out what other people are doing and finding the "bigfoot" of caps shows what graff is all about and that's bored artistic kids with a sense for some adventure.

09.14.11 7:14PMI really love EWOk because he is such an imspiration. The color. Simply astounding.

09.14.11 6:23PMthis comment may not be considered, simply for the fact i believe that you cant pick out one specific interview to be your favorite. If you truly love the game every interview was your favorite. I respect every writer and everything they bring to the table. They all are individuals and you can see that through their art.I learned something from each interview and have an equal amount of love and respect for all these guys for inspiring me to be the next big thing.

09.14.11 5:54PMEwok is my favorite interview he has been an all time favorite to me and got me started in my tagging career, he the best out there next to pose who is my second favorite both got me started and had tight stories. ;)

09.14.11 5:39PMThe "UK Chapter" was my favorite. Though what might qualify as an interview was short, any insight into the HA/MSK brothers is worth its weight in gold. The small collection of flicks give a brief look into there style, and let me tell you those boys have sick skills when it comes to burners and some of the most inventive style writing I have ever seen. Plus when it comes to Ironlak the next thing that comes to mind is Heavy Artillery.

09.14.11 2:47PMThe FATE interview was my favorite because he had dope stories, talked about my man TIE and how the huge ship was bombed, nuff said.

09.14.11 2:42PMI think the Gkae interview is my favorite simply because he did as much or even more damage as his crew members, is one of the most infamous writers but he rarely does interviews and you guys were able to get one. much props Frank 151. That dude is a beast!

09.14.11 1:58PM"I’m trying to get there. But when I do get there, I don’t want anyone to tell me that I fucked up. I had all this shit, all this fucking opportunity to do something, make a difference, actually stand up for something, but I didn’t and decided to squander it all for my own material gain."

09.14.11 1:10PMEwok...Not only is he one of the original members but he's been keeping it real since way before it was cool. Dude is an artist through and through. People like that would make art in solitary confinement. He can't help it. He speaks from the heART. He's often copied and never duplicated. His style is undoubtedly something you can notice without even a tag. It's artists like this that I constantly look up to. Great job Frank151. The 7L's crew has big ups globally and will continue to help bring street art to the forefront of a respected movement.
