Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Winner Takes A Custom Nixon Watch

This weekend while most of us were busy keeping warm and checking names off our Christmas list, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing participants were wrapping things up under epic conditions with the Billabong Pipemasters finals. While the overall Vans Triple Crown and Nixon WTA (Winner Takes All) champion, 19 year old John Florence, will be heading home with a kickass trophy and serious bragging rights, he also got to take home a one-of-a-kind, black ceramic Nixon 51-30 watch. This Swiss made, mechanical timepiece is adorned with 50 black diamonds on the bezel, six black sapphires, 95 black diamond accents, finished with a Hawaiian flag on the dial is the ultimate prize awarded for accomplishements made in the water that are unique to four stops along the ASP World Tour. Earlier this year, this one-of-a-kind watch valued at over $10,000 was awarded to Jordy Smith for "Highest Heat Score" at Jeffreys Bay and Jeremy Flores for "Heaviest Wave" in Teahupoo. The watch is customized with an engraved caseback of the Nixon WTA logo and an etched Hawaiian flag complimenting the sidewall of the case. Since the only way to snag one of these rare Nixon wtaches is to murder a wave, you may want to ask Santa for a board, lessons and a beach house this Christmas.
