Moodymann Pays Tribute To The Late J1 aka The Deer (Video)

On November 27th, the music world lost an extremely bright talent in J1 aka The Deer while he was out recording in Sweden. Born Jovan Coleman, J1 produced his own music, was a dj, and most notably the drummer of Dam-Funk's Master Blazter band.

Detroit's own house music legend Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann just dropped a new video titled "... (i guess u never been lonely)" which pays homage to the passing of J1. The video includes footage of Moodymann spinning in Japan along with shots of J1 from the last Dam Funk & Master Blazter show here in Detroit back in October in which Moodymann guest appeared on stage to do a cover of Sexual Harrassment's "I Need a Freak".
