Cey designed countless record covers for Def Jam throughout the years, along with his many other contributions to the look and feel of published Hip-Hop images. Last night, Cey (along with co-author Bill Adler) set off the occasion with a stellar event and art show at New York’s Redbull space. Bringing together a who’s who of Def Jam and Hip-Hop culture’s past, legendary Hip Hop design and graf figures such as Haze, Lee Quinones, Dr. Revolt and Team were in attendance, in addition to Hip Hop notables Large Pro, Positive K, Charlie Ahearn, Crazy Legs and MCA. The event featured artwork from artists including: Haze, Cey Adams, Angela Boatwright, Nika Sarabi and more. Adrock and legendary DJ Chuck Chillout held down the DJ duties.
