Philly Bellringers Cap Release / Free Philadelphyinz Mix

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

philly-bellringers-promo-shot.jpg

The FDL Team Series continues with the release of the Philly Bellringers FDL Team Cap done exclusively for Frank151 by the New Era hat company! This cap is executed with light Navy wool for that classic fit, Bell Ringers logo embroidery on the front in red with metallic silver fill, “Philadelphia 1776″ on the back, and the undervisor with a chain of stars again filled with silver embroidery. $45 each, no exceptions. Full size run 7 through 8 available while supplies last!

Philadelphia boasts one of the richest histories in the nation. The City of Brotherly Love even overshadowed New York in importance during the 18th century, thanks in part to hard work and ingenious contributions from Frank151’s own inspiration and spokesman, Benjamin Franklin. The Philadelphia Bell Ringers logo is first and foremost a symbol of independence. Frank151 has appropriated this immortal symbol to represent independence in a broader sense: independence from social norms, set trends and preconceptions. It stands as a bold reminder that great things are born from thinking differently. The emblem features a very patriotic color scheme and the first and most important date in US history, “1776.”

When you’re in Philly, you can check these cats out, as they have a steady DJ schedule, including this upcoming event:

Legendary Hip Hop graphic artist Cey Adams has just released a new book entitled:
DEFinition: The Art and Design of Hip-Hop. Cey designed countless record covers for Def Jam throughout the years, along with his many other contributions to the look and feel of published Hip-Hop images. Last night, Cey (along with co-author Bill Adler) set off the occasion with a stellar event and art show at New York’s Redbull space. Bringing together a who’s who of Def Jam and Hip-Hop culture’s past, legendary Hip Hop design and graf figures such as Haze, Lee Quinones, Dr. Revolt and Team were in attendance, in addition to Hip Hop notables Large Pro, Positive K, Charlie Ahearn, Crazy Legs and MCA. The event featured artwork from artists including: Haze, Cey Adams, Angela Boatwright, Nika Sarabi and more. Adrock and legendary DJ Chuck Chillout held down the DJ duties.
