The Horseshoe Lounge doesn't advertise its presence (next to the Dish and across from Benedict Fountain Park, on 20th) with much more than a horseshoe over the front door, but for all that it's easy to miss, you shouldn't. It's a super chill local spot, with cheap drinks and decent late night food. The bricked bar area is narrow but comfortable, with leather-upholstered stools and a bar that appears to be made of all the dice from a truly formidable collection of Monopoly games. Walk up a couple of steps and you're in the comfortable, wide-open lounge area, which features a number of couches and easy chairs, a couple of booths, and a pool table. The comfy seating would make this an ideal first-date-with-somebody-you-want-to-put-the-moves-on bar. About once a month on Saturdays, Denver Diggers' DJ Klaw hosts THE JUMP OFF: Cheap Drinks and No Cover with classic hip hop, disco, funk and rock.
