In the past seven years, Lost & Found Vintage has gone from niche boutique to vintage retail powerhouse in downtown Royal Oak. Owner Tommy Dorr opened the store after working various flea markets in Detroit (certainly not a walk in the park), financing the place with money out of his own pocket and thus securing its success down the road with no heavy debts hanging over the shop's head. Today, Lost & Found Vintage dominates the vintage scene, catering to those searching for prom dresses from the 1950's to bell-bottom slacks from the 1970's. With the burgeoning movie business arriving to Michigan, Dorr opened an appointment-only costume warehouse out of Ferndale. Believe us — the story behind the shop is only half as interesting as the clothes housed inside.
