Chat Roulette (So NSFW)

We tried to be men and watch the Superbowl. Instead, we spent hours on Chat Roulette.

If you haven't heard, Chat Roulette is a website that randomly pairs up strangers into video chats.

HIGHLIGHTS: Dancing to Daddy Yankee with strangers across the Atlantic / Finding some dude in Germany who will draw a portrait of you.

WARNING: More than half of the people on this site just want to show you their junk.

Can't stress enough how NSFW this is.

The Best Stop-Motion Tattoo Video You'll See All Day

Full disclosure: I do not have any tattoos. Also, needles and I don't really get along well. That said, this tattoo and the accompanying video are pretty amazing. Apparently, Dabe Allen is having a bunch of vintage gadgets tattooed on his arm as part of a nerd sleeve. But, instead of just getting each tat and posting the before-and-after shots, Allen and his pal decided to do a stop-motion video of the process.

The tattoo looks great and, for someone who doesn't have any ink, it's interesting to see how much work goes into a detailed tattoo like that. Allen plans to post part two of the video on Nov. 8, so synchronize those Google Calenders. In the meantime, check out the Frank 151 Tattoo forum.

The Rocky Business Mixtape - Official Release (Free Download)

RockyBusinessMixtapeFront
MC Strictly Business and musician/vocalist/producer Johnny on the Rocks are Rocky Business. Jonny is a Toronto native, while SB hails from Bed-Stuy Brooklyn. We featured their first video (for Find Away directed by TONE) a while back, and they subsequently asked FRANKRADIO to jump on with Rocksmith to push forth their first full mixtape project, entitled simply Rocky Business. When we heard the music, we couldn't refuse.

Rocky Business has performed alongside artists such as Theophilus London, Diplo, Black Sheep, HEARTSREVOLUTION, Shinobi Ninja,  Maluca, Ninjasonik, Anton Glamb, and Memberz Only. Playing everywhere from major music venues and dance clubs to outlaw loft parties, they are a young group that are building very steadily, while getting their chops up rocking out as much as possible. The mix has a very 80's and 90's rock feel, while blending other styles that are truly varied. Electro, new wave, rock, breakbeats, hip-hop, and some soul vibrations sit together in this mix, all peppered by SB's rhymes, and some clever sing song.

Last night, they tore the roof off of Fat Baby in New York's Lower East Side for the release of the mix, and today you can hear it in full.

Download the full mix with tracklisting, and get the back cover after the jump.

Lady Gaga Custom Barbies

Lady Gaga Barbie

If Lady Gaga hasn't done enough to chokehold your attention, these custom made Lady Gaga Barbies should work wonders for terrifying the little ones and Barbie collectors alike.  Veik, the Beijing artist who created these Gaga-dolls has taken his affinity for toys and Lady Gaga to a whole new plateau.  The collection includes around 40 Barbies, each of which micro clone Gaga's various extravagant and eccentric fashion adventures.  Although Veik has no intention as of yet to sell the dolls, just merely viewing them should provide for an adequate amount of art appreciation and unsettling entertainment. My personal favorite is the "Bad Romance" mini-Gaga as seen above...it's the burnt corpse that really drives this one home.

Review full collection here.

DJ Neil Armstrong X Jay-Z - DNA Of The Blueprint Mixtape (Free Download)

NeilArmstrongDNAOfTheBluePrint

New York DJ Neil Armstrong has been destroying turntables for years, and his slew of innovative mixtapes released in the late '90s early 2000s only increased his notoriety. A couple of years ago, he got the break of a lifetime, and signed on as the tour DJ for Jay-Z. Always one to give thanks, Neil has been documenting his journey through his website and e-mail blasts. Now, to celebrate the re-launch of his website, he's released a mixtape that will also serve as his thank you to Jigga, a "bookmark" in a chapter in his life, as well as a celebration of everything he's experienced through his connection with the most popular rap artist ever.

Black Scale X Frank151 "Black Frank" Collab Tee Giveaway!

bsfrank1web

This Friday we release our Black Scale x Frank151 collaboration tee at the Black Scale store in San Francisco as well as the Frank Chop shop in New York.

Frank151 and Black Scale co-conspired to create a tee we're calling Black Frank. The tee design features both the Frank151 and Black Scale logos, and tastefully touches on the occult. It's available in black or white. This collaboration is VERY limited. There are three ways to get yours though. You can go to The Black Scale Retail Store (in San Francisco) or Frank's Chop Shop to buy one, or you can enter our contest here on Frank151.com, and you may just win one!

Here's how you enter to win:

1. Create a profile on Frank151.com. It's free!
2. Be sure to include a picture and some information about yourself. Only complete profiles will be eligible to win!
3. This week's contest is inspired by the five-pointed pentagram. Add a comment to this post listing your top three movie depictions of the devil, along with your tee size (S, M, L, XL, XXL), and you're entered!

We'll be announcing winners on Saturday, March 13th, so make sure you get your advice in by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, March 12th.

Here are our picks to kick things off:

1. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.  "You might be a king, or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later, you dance with the reaper!"
2. The Devils Advocate. Al Pacino brings a lot of class to the role of Satan.
3. South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. What more needs to be said?

See more pics of the shirts after the jump.

Hipster Takeover (Video) / An Anatomy Of Hipsters

Student Jessica Lehrman made this piece on the visual nature of hipsters for a Visual Literacy class at Purchase College. We're definitely looking for your thoughts on this one. Are you in one of the categories of "hipster" mentioned in the above film? According to the film, you won't mention it if you are. Do you think this film will spawn a "hipster backlash"? How do hipsters, non-hipsters and the general public feel about this film? Either way, this film definitely had us in stitches, not to mention we've seen about 30% of every person in this film walking around the city.

Leave your comments on this film after the jump by clicking "go to post"

Oh, and if you want to laugh at hipsters for days on end, we found video on this site:

Swiss Army Chocolates

Swiss Chocolate Knife

It's that time of your again! You've put on mass holiday pounds, made losing weight your New Year's resolution and right about now when you start getting on track the evil chocolate spawn that is Valentine's Day rears its nasty little head.  Whether you've got that special someone in mind or you're a single sadsack this February 14th, I suggest this very freshly designed Swiss Chocolate Knife gift set from Victorinox.  For starters, she'll love and hate you for buying her chocolate; the sleek design will show some thought and creativity, plus the whole knife element will appeal to her more vengeful side, since well, you did in fact buy her chocolate. And ladies, guys like  weapons, knives all the better...pretty basic.  And for those that make hating Valentine's Day in itself its very own holiday, you'll have your very own set of knives, but this time won't end up harming yourself and instead enjoying a delightful treat. Enjoy!

What Type Are You?

The great minds at Pentagram have been informing our visual culture for 38 years.

Over the past 7 of those years, Pentagram along with 23 academics have been developing What's Your Type – a test that determines what typeface best represents you.

Note to anyone who wants to make an impact: The face 'Impact' is not an option, so you'll have to start being a little more clever with your typographic approach.

Hearty Magazine Interview With Ray Mate (Mighty Healthy)

ray-mate-mighty-healthy-4

The lovely ladies over at Hearty Magazine, a great on-line magazine geared towards the more cultured and metro ladies, just sent us over this interview with Ray Mate, owner of Mighty Healthy clothing. We've offered Mighty Healthy caps and such on our site for years, and we're always looking to spread the word about a true New York establishment, and Ray and his company is just that.

Hearty told us:

Our interviews don't usually make people want to throw up but this one was different. hearty's new Boy Meets Girl features Ray Mate of Mighty Healthy, who is currently working on Holiday 2010 (which will introduce a new task for Mighty Healthy), a video game collaboration (find out which one) and a full skate team (we got the names first!). Mate also talks about growing up in New York, art and politics, and the uniqueness of skateparks in New York.

This film looks like a very promising look into one of downtown's most intriguing residents.
