There are two types of people—those that get it and those that will get it eventually. The reason for this is perspective and positioning. It's like this, stand two inches in front of any image or object.  The amount of information you have to work with is going to be limited. Nine times out of ten you're going to miss something. Now try taking a few steps back. I guarantee things will begin to look different. Perspective and positioning are key with creativity and concept development.
 
A few years ago I came across the website for Cleveland, OH-based brand Wrath Arcane. Their product really grabbed my attention. Their cuts have a strong design purpose. Each piece has just the right amount of added detail to really resonate. I was intrigued to find out they were not from one of the bigger markets.
 
This winter I had a chance to talk with Sean Bilovecky of Wrath Arcane about the brand and the inspiration that thier location has provided for them.
 
Can you give me a brief history on how Wrath Arcane came about?
 
WRATH ARCANE started in January of 2006.  Brian called me and asked me if I would work on a private label for his store (www.clothingbrigade.com) in Cleveland.  From there we just grew from one season, to the next, to where we are now.  Cleveland is a perfect example of what can happen to a region when you remove its ability to produce “things.”  That’s why it’s really important to us to keep all of the production for the brand in the US.  Being from / based here also informs our minimalist approach to designing clothing.

Wiz Khalifa has begun his whirlwind tour of the US. Along for the ride are U-God (Wu-Tang) and Jasmine Solano, who will be djing for both acts as well as starring as the opening act. Find them in your city!


Rostrum Records, in association with iHipHop Distribution and FRAKRADIO, is proud to announce Wiz Khalifa's official 'Deal Or No Deal' tour. After reaching #1 on the iTunes Hip Hop Charts in November, Wiz is setting out on this 40 city tour in support of the ground-breaking album. Wiz's grassroots rise to fame has led to sold out shows across the country. "The reaction we've gotten so far has been extraordinary," remarks Benjy Grinberg, President of Rostrum Records. "Pre-sales are through the roof and the excitement for the tour has been amazing to witness."

A warrant has been issued for Hurst, formerly of Lancaster, and his $25,000 bond has been revoked after he failed to make a Feb. 1 court appearance.

"I'm pretty disappointed in what happened, as I think we all are," Fairfield County Assistant Prosecutor Erin McLaughlin said. "Hopefully he will turn himself in before long."

Hurst had posted bond Jan. 14 and was ordered to get a location-tracking ankle bracelet as one of the conditions of his bond and hasn't been seen since, Chief Fairfield County Adult Probation Officer John Baus said.

After posting bond, Hurst was supposed to go from the courthouse, 224 E. Main St., to Fairfield Information Services & Associates, 133 S. Broad St., about three blocks away.

"After posting bond, he is not in custody. If they are prisoners in custody, we have their ankle bracelets put on in the jail," Baus said.

But Hurst wasn't in custody at the time and therefore was not escorted down to the jail or Fairfield Information Services & Associates to get the ankle bracelet, Baus said.
