M-Theory Music carries CDs, Vinyl, and DVDs in most all genres, but has a particular passion for indie rock, hip hop, jazz, soul, funk, metal/punk, blues, garage, psych, folk, world, & electronic. If you're a customer looking for that amazing new release (or just want us to turn you on to something you haven't heard yet), you've come to the right place. And if you're a DJ looking for that out of print soul or R&B record to spin at your next gig, they've also got an incredible selection of new and used vinyl to choose from. They are all passionate collectors of records and place a large emphasis on that.

Customer service is key to their success, with most special orders arriving within a day or two- and always at no extra cost!  We also strive to maintain a hip, fun, friendly environment that's the antithesis to the dusty old record stores of our youth.

In-Store performances & signings are frequent occurrences at our stores, with bands/artists like Chuck D, Spiritualized, Nada Surf, Broken Social Scene, Hold Steady, And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead (Karaoke Party!), Mike Watt and George Hurley of the Minutemen, Earlimart, Louis XIV, Mondo Generator (QOTSA), Hold Steady, Album Leaf, Film School, The Black Lips, Grand Ole Party, Rob Crow (Pinback), Rocky Votolato, John Vanderslice, Reeve Oliver, Dead Meadow, Lavender Diamond, The Stills, Camper Van Beethoven/Cracker, Rob Dickinson (Catherine Wheel), Adam Franklin (Swervedriver), Mark Gardener (Ride), David J(Bauhaus), Switchfoot, Joseph Arthur, John Butler Trio, West Indian Girl, Dan Sartain, Hard-Fi, Paolo Nutini, Hieroglyphics, Steve Turner (Mudhoney), Meg & Dia, Mute Math, Honorary Title and many more coming by.

Bottom line- they like to turn people on to music they may have not yet heard (both new and old) and everything in the store is there for a reason. You won't have to flip through 15 used Britney Spears CDs(that have sat there for the past 10 years) to find that used Sonic Youth CD you're craving!

They have tons of listening stations too.  Come on by and experience a new kind of record store!
