Home Searched in Connection with Tupac Murder

The Las Vegas police department conducted a search of a home this Monday in connection with the murder of Tupac Shakur nearly three decades ago.

In 1996, the rap legend was shot and killed in a drive-by on a Las Vegas strip. As Tupac was leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand, his car was followed and open fired upon when it stopped at a nearby red light. Tupac was shot multiple times, and passed away from his injuries six days after the shooting.

At the time there were no arrests made or charges pressed; the police had no suspects. After almost three decades of the case being cold, the police finally think they may be onto something.

The Las Vegas police made a statement to the press saying: “LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation. We will have no further comment at this time.” No further information about suspects nor evidence have been released, including who or what the police were searching for.

A spokesperson for the police department explained that the details of the search and case will not be revealed because the investigation is ongoing.
